Labrador Day 3

This morning we went with Barry to the Trawlers at the Gold Coast Fishermans Co-op across the broadwater and also to the local fish market to purchase prawns, sand crabs and Moreton Bay bugs. We also picked up a spanner. Prawns, of course are large shrimp, bugs are similar to a lobster, but flat, crabs are like Alaskan King Crab, but smaller and spanners are crabs with claws that look like a pipe wrench.  Anne and Barry prepared all these and we got ready to host Tony and Ted from home - staying in Coolangatta down the road, and Heather and Laurie, Aussies visiting from Melbourne visiting them for lunch.  After champagne, we set up tables and camp chairs in the park across the street and had a feast of the seafood, along with a salad and rolls.  Much conversation and catching up was enjoyed by all.  Then we came back to the condo for dessert and coffee.  We laid about the rest of the day and had a light dinner before bed.
