On Saturday, the rains fell all day long on the Gold Coast, and we only ventured out to do a bit of shopping and at 5:00 PM went up to friends Peter and Annette's on the 7th floor for drinks. They are retired here, originally from Tasmania, the island state off the south coast of Australia. On Sunday, the rains continued intermittently to put a damper on a planned picnic lunch in the park across the street. Although we started there, the event was held at the Summer House of Windsong beside the pool. We met Barry's daughter Kath, son Paul and his wife Penny and daughters Brigitte and Eliza. Also attending were Ted and Tony, and Anne's daughter and son and their families (named and pictured in previous blog entry). The event honoured Anne and Barry's 22nd anniversary just passed and Anne's birthday the following day
Cricket and Picnic began in the Park
But it rained, so everyone headed for cover
Barry and daughter Kath
Barry's son Paul, Penny, Eliza and Brigitte
And, from our Sydney days, Keira, Barry's son Mike, Kai and Mika
Happy Birthday Oma
